My name is Bennett Gibson I am a second year student in Media Communications, and a graduate in the Humber Polytechnic photography program.
I’m a neurodivergent individual part of an overlooked workforce that is looking for inclusion in a world uninformed about this groups potential value in the workplace.
At present globally with few exceptions, this group is segregated, unsupported, poorly funded and then ignored. In Canada approximately 67 percent of autistic adults are unemployed while 79 percent of neurotypical adults without a disability are employed. I’m hoping to change this with the skills I’ve learned at Humber. I hope to positively brand my neurodivergence and bring myself including others like me into the workforce.
